Getting started with Google Analytics 


This training teaches you the basics to get started with Google Analytics. From creating a Google Account to the integration of the Google Analytics tracking code and the management of profiles, filters and users. The training covers all areas of importance to a web analyst.

Training content: 

Module 1 - Web Analytics the basics and Search engine marketing 

This module give you an overview of the current status of online marketing in Germany and Europe. And includes a detailed overview of possibilities with search engine marketing. The potential conversion that you can realize with effective landing page is discussed. 

Module 2 - Getting Started with Google Analytics 

This module provides an explanation of how a Google account is linked to all of Googles service offerings. How a Google Account is created, linked with your Analytics account and the creation of profiles. A blog is created and integrated with the Google Analytics tracking code. In addition you will learn how to implement and check that everything is working correctly. 

Module 3 - Analytics Settings 

This module gives you a detailed explanation of your Google Analytics account its options and settings, the management of different accounts, profiles, users, filters etc. An overview of the basic reporting interface is also provided. 

Module 4 - Report Interface 
 
This module covers an in-depth look at reports, how they are generated and managed. Date, export, e-mail and dashboard functions are covered as well as how the graphics mode can be used to compare different measures. In addition, the different views are discussed showing the differences between page views, visits and visitors. 
 

Google Analytics: Advanced Techniques 

The Google Analytics advanced techniques training is the perfect complement to the basic Google Analytics training and provides you with a detailed knowledge of what and how to modify in Google Analytics to be able to measure and get the information that you need. The combination of profiles, setting of goals and filters are explained, as well as tracking online campaigns, AdWords integration and e-commerce tracking. Background information about the Google Analytic tracking code, use of cookies and adaptation completes the overall picture.

Training content: 

Module 1 - Profiles, goals, filters and use of regular expressions 

This module covers the interplay of profiles, goals and filters. The schematic and the logical structure of profiles in your account is explained and the correct definition of goals, use of and design of filters. In this module you will learn about the power, syntax and use of regular expressions (RegEx) wit Google Analytics. 

Module 2 - Tracking Google AdWords and online campaigns 

This module gives you an explanation of how Google Analytics and AdWords can be combined. Giving you insight into cost data and the ROI of your campaigns. You will also learn how links can be tracked and your online campaigns tagged. Different campaign variables used with Google Analytics are explained in detail with examples. 

Module 3 - Google Analytics tracking code, cookies and modifications 

In this module you will learn about how the Analytics Tracking Code works and explanation is given for the customization options available. Further how the cookies used work in measuring activities on your website.

Module 4 - E-commerce 

E-commerce transactions can be measured and integrated in Google Analytics. You will learn how and where transactional data is recorded and how to setup your account to track your e-commmerce website.
