This barometer is published every month to follow the main trends in search engine visit shares. Below is the barometer for October 2008.

Good end of the year for Live Search

Google remains stable in December 2008 with 91.22 % of visits via a search engine, vs 91.20 % from the previous month.

As for the challengers of Google … Yahoo!, the second of this barometer (2.44 %) continues to losec ground, as does Orange, 5th (1.00 %) which continues the November trend and shows the strongest monthly decline. AOL, 4th (1.40 %) remains stable for the second consecutive month whereas Live Search, 3rd (2.17 %) enjoys the highest month over month increase.

No change in places 6 to 10 with in order of appearance: Lo.st, Free, Alice, Ask and finally Yandex, which has the strongest progress relative to number of visits: +12.2 %.
